Program Components
Fitness
The SOP program focuses on proper fitness and nutrition by providing sports and games geared toward adolescence. Participants will have the opportunity for fun fitness assessments through the summer.
Interaction
Take a break from electronics and social media. The SOP program encourages relationship building through face to face peer interaction, positive sportsmanship and teamwork.
Leadership
Participants have the opportunity to volunteer as a mentor for the younger kids attending the All Sports Camp by leading sports & games or supporting them through our reading buddies program.
Volunteering
The SOP program introduces participants to the importance of giving back. We will have several projects supporting the community and those in need throughout the summer.

T-shirt & Certificate
Each participant will receive an AKA SPORT t-shirt. Each participant that completes their program receives a program certificate.
Facilities Access
Access to all AKA SPORT facilities within the National Sports Center, Golden Lake Elementary, Adrenaline Sports Center, Champions Hall, and Hopkins Pavilion.
SPeed of Play Lounge
Ping Pong, games, study tables, and rest area for SOP participants to relax and hang out. (Only at NSC Rink 8)
Field Trips & Volunteering
Field Tips and volunteer opportunities exclusive to SOP participants combine learning and recreation, to keep minds engaged while having fun!
Frequently Asked Questions
AKASPORT staff meet weekly to review any waitlist registrations and contact families as soon as possible to let them know if they can be moved into the program. We do our best to accomodate all registrations.
If you are moved off of the waitlist, you will need to log in to your account to make a payment or set up the payment plan. You will not be charge for the program until you are officially registered (no charge if you are on the waitlist).
WAIVER OF LIABILITY / AUTHORIZATION
In consideration of participating in AKA SPORT activities, including All Sports Camp (ASC), Speed of Play (SOP), and the SEALs Program, and by completing this registration form, I, on behalf of myself, my child(ren), heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and estate, hereby agree to release and discharge the Active Kids Association of Sport (“AKA SPORT”), its staff, agents, officers, volunteers, and all other parties involved in organizing and administering AKA SPORT programs, from any and all claims, liabilities, causes of action, losses, or expenses—including those arising from personal injury, wrongful death, or property damage—resulting from participation in AKA SPORT activities. I confirm that the participant is in good health and capable of full participation. In the event of an emergency, I authorize medical treatment for my child at a local hospital and accept full responsibility for any resulting medical expenses. I also grant permission for my child to be transported by AKA SPORT staff for field trips, practices, and related activities. I understand that photographs and videos may be taken during program activities, and I authorize AKA SPORT to use such images for promotional purposes without further consent.
PAYMENT POLICY Payment Options: Payment plans are available for both Full Summer and Individual Week All Sports Camp registrations. By enrolling, you authorize AKA SPORT to securely store and process your payment information per your selected plan.
Final Balance: All balances must be paid in full by June 19, 2026. Failure to do so may result in immediate suspension or termination of participation until the balance is paid.
Late Payment: A $25 late payment fee per week may be assessed for any outstanding balances after June 19, 2026.
Responsibility: It is solely the parent/guardian’s responsibility to confirm that all payments have been completed. AKA SPORT is not obligated to hold registration spots for unpaid accounts.
Communication: Payment inquiries may be directed to info@akasport.org. NO PAY, NO PLAY POLICY If payment is not received by June 19th, 2026 AKA SPORT reserves the right to: Refuse participation until the balance is paid
Contact the parent/guardian for immediate pickup if the camper arrives without payment or at check in.
Unpaid balances remain the responsibility of the account holder and must still be paid in full, even if the camper is removed from participation. Failure to resolve unpaid balances may result in referral to a collections agency and ineligibility for future AKA SPORT programs.
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY Full Summer Packages Includes: All Sports Camp (ASC): 10-13 Weeks SEALs: 10 Weeks Speed of Play (SOP): 8-13 Weeks Before April 1, 2026: Refund of all amounts paid, minus a $57.50 administrative fee.
After April 1, 2026: Refund of all amounts paid, minus the initial 15% deposit of the total program fee.
*Adjustment Below 10 Weeks: If total enrollment drops below 10 weeks, the account converts to Individual Week Registration, and:
All Full Summer discounts and promotions are forfeited.
Current Individual Week rates apply retroactively.
A $25 reclassification fee applies.
After September 1, 2026: No refunds or credits will be issued for any reason.
*Adjustments made after April 1 are subject to space availability. AKA SPORT reserves the right to deny or modify changes to prevent disruption to other families. Once converted to Individual Weeks, Full Summer pricing and priority cannot be reinstated. Individual Week Registrations All Sports Camp (ASC): 1-9 Weeks SEALs: 1-9 Weeks Speed of Play (SOP): 1-7 Weeks Before April 1, 2026: Refund of all payments minus a $57.50 administrative fee for full cancellations.
Partial Cancellations Before April 1: Refund for canceled weeks minus a 3.5% processing fee, provided at least one week remains on the account.
After April 1, 2026: Refund of 50% of the canceled week(s) or a credit for the full canceled amount, valid toward any 2026 or 2027 AKA SPORT program.
After September 1, 2026: No refunds or credits for any reason. Crossover Between Programs: Athletes registered for both All Sports Camp (ASC) and SEALs may transition between the two programs, provided they are enrolled in a summer package. The price difference between programs will be applied accordingly. Once an athlete is confirmed in the SEALs program, they must complete that week in SEALs and may not switch back to ASC midweek.
ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS Non-Attendance / Early Withdrawal: Missed days, absences, illness, or voluntary withdrawal do not qualify for refunds or credits. Staffing, facilities, and resources are secured based on confirmed registrations.
Late Cancellation / No-Show: Cancellations within 7 days of the scheduled start date or failure to attend without prior written notice will forfeit all payments. Payments for missed or unused weeks are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Behavioral Dismissal: Campers dismissed due to behavior, safety violations, or actions deemed disruptive or harmful by AKA SPORT will not receive refunds or credits.
Force Majeure: In the event of natural disasters, government orders, pandemics, or other events beyond AKA SPORT’s control that disrupt operations, AKA SPORT may, at its discretion, issue prorated credits or reschedule programs but is not obligated to provide refunds.
Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days after approval.
If you will be attending for the full summer (10 or more weeks) you will need to register for a Full Summer Package. You will have until April 1st to select which weeks you would like to attend within your package.
If you will be attending fewer than 10 weeks you will register for each week individually and do not need to register for them all at once. You may add weeks throughout the summer, however we do have a limited capacity for participants so advise you to register early to prevent being put on a waitlist or not being able to attend the program. Any changes to individual weeks made throughout the summer are subject to our cancelation policy. (See above)

No. If your child is unable to attend the field trip, you may choose to find alternate care for the day. All AKA Staff will be attending the field trips so there will be no care for any children not attending.
Breakfast, lunch and snacks are NOT provided, but we do offer the option to add LUNCHES to registration for an additional cost of $6 per day. Lunches are delivered by our lunch partner Lisa’s Catering. See Lisa’s Catering Sample Menu.
Our providers do not have separate offerings for dietary restrictions, but we do have a nut free table during meals and snacks.
Participants may bring their own breakfast to enjoy before 9am.
Participants are encouraged to bring snacks to enjoy and at specified break time during the day.
AKA will provide refrigerators and microwaves for participants to use for lunches and snacks.

All equipment will be provided except for ice skates and helmets for Ice Sports Week. Any other equipment needs will be communicated prior to camp. Participants are allowed to bring their own equipment during camp. AKASPORT is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.

If you have registered for the day, yes. You are responsible for payment for that day. AKASPORT schedules staff based on the number of children expected to arrive for care on that day.
If you forget or lose your AKASPORT field trip T-shirt you will be given a new one and charged ($10) by your site director.
AKASPORT staff will provide sunscreen and ensure that camp particpants are applying it to themselves throughtout the day. You can also provide sunscreen if you have specific sunscreen you would like to use.
While we encourage families to keep electronic devices at home, they are allowed during designated times during the day including drop off (7-8am) and pick up times (5-6pm) if we are not currently involved in another activity. AKASPORT is not responsible for lost or broken electroic devices.
You will be asked to accept our Liability Waiver during registration . A copy of that waiver along with our payment policies can be found HERE.

At this time we do not have an after school program at the NSC due to facility space availability. We do offer AKA After School Programs at many schools throughout the North Metro (Anoka-Hennepin and Spring Lake Park School Districts). See our AKA After School page for program offerings.
